I purchased this to black out a double-hung window in my grow room to block any light during the flowering period. It was a little tricky to install for sure, but it does a great job. Depending on how much care you take trimming it can leave a little glass showing on the edges and it might be fine for your application. For me I need it 100% dark so I just covered these areas with black tape. Getting all the bubbles out can take some time too. I did not need a real finished look so I did not work them all out, but it can be done - just takes time. Depending on the size of piece(s) you are working with (mine were approx 22x30), it can be tough to control. It wants to curl and stick back on itself. It's really a two person job and to be fair the instructions note that as well. I did it on my own - but got the job done.I still give it five stars since it does block all the light. I don't think you can find a film type product that would be "easy" to install. It takes some time and patience. So if you don't have either, just get some black construction paper, tape it to your window and be done with it. But if you want a nice clean look and are willing to spend some time getting it installed - I can definitely recommend this product. It does what it's designed to do.
