Review on Shield Yourself From The Sun With G4Free'S Windproof Travel Umbrella With UPF 50+ Protection by Jerry Moody

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good enough: my feedback

This 42” G4Free UV Protection Umbrella is good, but not entirely perfect. The good is that in order for the material to have enough blocking power, it’s substantially thicker than that of a standard rain umbrella. The fabric tested well in full sunlight where it didn’t allow any light to leak through. The overall weight of it is also good. It’s lightweight enough to carry so it doesn’t feel heavy and cumbersome whether expanded or folded. As for circumference of coverage, it’s okay but not ideal. This is the compromise in order for it to be lighter in weight. Somewhat of a disappointment is the initial mildly foul odor of the synthetic material. Hopefully it’ll decrease over time, but it definitely didn’t worsen in the hot sun. Lastly, my personal preference would’ve been an umbrella that’s as easy to fold as it is to open. So although having an overlapping fabric vent at the top is designed to allow for better air flow, it also poses a bit of a challenge to fold neatly as it requires more involvement for it to fold up meticulously tidy to fit back into its handy sleeve. Had I had the foreknowledge of this, I might’ve chosen a different brand with a non-vented design. Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase as it wasn’t the cheapest find nor was it the most expensive choice on Revain.
