The diapers of my LO stink a lot, especially on the first morning. Since we have an HE washing machine, we had to look for stripping options (the Dawn method doesn't work with HE). I was very skeptical when I read about a powder that could remove plaque UNTIL I tried it myself. WOW I couldn't believe how much detergent came out! After a 15 minute wash it looked like I used 3x the recommended detergent. However, it took forever to get the diapers off as I had to rinse them about 8 or 9 times until they stopped blistering but no longer smelled. This was the first time I took my diapers off (aged 7 months). Since then I've been doing this monthly and it doesn't save much and 4 or 5 flushes are enough. That lasts a long time too, because you only need half a pack for HE machines!
