Looks funny but is the best OPTION

I almost bought this thinking it would be uncomfortable. I figured a vest or fanny pack would make access easier. I immediately ordered several vests, hip bags and backpacks. This pack was the biggest option and I was surprised I kept it. The weight is low and shoulder-free. The same applies if you fill it with 3L or just 1L. The best part is the two pockmark-like "wings" on the sides. You can easily access things without removing your backpack. IF you position the zippers of the large pockets correctly, you can access this pocket without removing your backpack. The only pockets you can't access without removing your pack are the two smaller pockets in the middle. This herd grows on you. It's really convenient. really stable. Holds an awful lot of water. Doesn't restrict movement like a vest or traditional backpack. Quick access to large side pockets makes this item perfect. I ride technical MTB trials every day and I highly recommend it!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others
