Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ AIDA HD-100A Compact Full HD HDMI POV Camera featuring TRS Stereo Audio Input and Support for Multiple HD Formats by Matthew Hoang

Blown out within the first week of use due to a serious design flaw

The designers of this camera chose to include a cumbersome octopus-shaped cable that plugs into the back of the camera and contains an integrated on-screen controller (OSD) with a mini joystick that then branches out to a 3.5mm audio jack, an RS-485 port jack and a full-size 12V power jack. The argument for such a cable is that the camera is physically too small to accommodate each of these connectors; makes sense right? In practice, however, the cable is bulky and has this FATAL flaw: you IMMEDIATELY DESTROY the camera (as I did) by touching the 12V power line with the audio jack. Both the power jack and the audio jack are about the same. Size and fall side by side in a messy octopus cord. If you install this in a small, hard-to-reach spot (that's probably why you bought it in the first place), you'll have to actively ensure that this very likely accident never happens, or you might be watching your $300 sprout caricature. . Wings and fly out the window - and you won't be able to write it down.
