I bought this terrarium for a child that I look after through church. Aside from that, the closest thing I'd get to a gecko is in a Gieco commercial! This was intended as a Christmas present, but given the circumstances, I only received the undamaged device yesterday [2/9/17]. The front, back and bottom glass of the first terrarium were broken. replacement ordered. got a second terrarium, opened the lid of the packaging, examined the damage and did not notice it. I left the terrarium in the box so as not to damage it during shipping. It is a heavy item and very bulky. I drive 80 km. , a round trip to buy a gecko and all the items needed to keep this beautiful little creature comfortable. The seller instructed us not to leave the gecko in the shipping container for more than 2 hours. When we got home, we feverishly prepared the recommended tropical setting. during the installation the boy asked me if i knew about the broken glass in the right corner under the front door. I asked the child if he had ever seen a grown man cry. Nevertheless, I contacted Amazon, ordered a replacement, which arrived within a few days. My wife and I were afraid to open the box. Looking at the condition of the box, it seems like the nightmare is about to continue! The warnings on the packaging were clearly ignored. two of the styrofoam corners holding the terrarium broke and I immediately thought we were back in business! Hallelujah, the terrarium is intact! I repackaged the damaged terrarium, installed a new one and shipped the returned item to UPS. All's well that ends well! AMAZON solved the problem perfectly. YOUR REPRESENTATIVE RESPONDED QUICKLY TO ENSURE CORRECTION WAS MADE. THE YOUNG MAN WAS JOY! I WILL BE COMPLETELY SATISFIED IF NOT CLOSE TO THE GEKKO THAN ON THE ADVERTISING GEIIKO!
