Since I tend to rinse everything completely before putting it in the dishwasher, this can create confusion in my family about whether it's clean or dirty, leading to everyone put everything in dirty dishes in the sink to take care of me. I looked at various clean/dirty signs but didn't want to put anything in the dishwasher. This simple tool made the task easier and now everyone takes responsibility for loading the dishes.
