The biggest problem with BeaconHD is that it uses the same channel for uplink AP communication as its downstream Wi-Fi clients. Performance would be much better if a separate channel was used instead. It took some experimentation to find a place for BeaconHD that actually improved our users' Wi-Fi experience instead of making it worse. The other problem is that it seems to restart daily. During these few minutes, the BeaconHD hotspot is unavailable. In addition to these shortcomings, we found an effective way to use it. Our users say that Wi-Fi works better than before purchase. We are looking for a replacement for a wired access point.
