I sent my whole studio cheap. I used to be the leader when it came to electronics and only picked the most expensive brands I could afford. After comparing a few things on everything from Cheerios to electronics, I've found that sometimes with a little work you can get much more expensive branded features in less expensive brands. And lighting is one of the areas where you can really save money. This ring light is perfect for video at a distance of about 3ft, 1m or closer. Not just videos, but portraits and photographs. And the tripod and mount make this thing pretty easy to use. Lightweight aluminum tripod. Which I think makes it something to be careful with. But other than that, everything else seems like a pretty solid, super-functional bowl, and I got it up and running in under an hour.
