Review on Enhanced Ematic Digital TV Converter Box with Recording, Playback, Parental Controls [Model AT103B] by Dejuan Stott

This is my third TV tuner. The first one I bought in 2015 was an Ematic and it lasted five years before the remote died. There is no way to get a replacement remote, once the remote breaks you will have to switch channels manually. I wasn't a fan of the 2015 device, the audio was constantly out of sync and it didn't record well. When he died in 2020 I replaced it with an OFX TV tuner. A big mistake, this tuner only lasted 3 months. So I reluctantly bought another Ematic tuner. This new tuner is a definite improvement. The audio is finally in sync, the recordings are fine but to be honest I don't use it because it's 2020 and everything is available to stream right now. As far as I can tell, the remote control is the same as it was five years ago, and the user interface looks the same too. I've found that the video quality seems clearer and the unit itself is more responsive than the old one, or maybe it's just that the remote control is new. I bought a warranty on this unit in case the remote dies again.
