Bought to connect my monitor and peripherals to my 2018 MacBook Pro. Firstly, it works well as a docking station. If you are using Hyperport with your Mac laptop in clamshell mode (closed), you MUST be running Mojave. I tried High Sierra first but had to leave the laptop open. This became apparent after purchase when I went to the vendor's website to troubleshoot. Second, you need to download the latest software from the Displaylink website. Third, you need to go to security and privacy settings and unlock the software. Fourth, you need to go to your extensions and allow Displaylink extensions. On the Accessibility tab, under Privacy, you must allow the DisplaylinkUserAgent to control your computer. So if you're willing to play around to get this working properly, you'll be rewarded with a working dock. . My scanner, printer, backup hard drives, flash drives and monitor work without any problems. Four stars for my sweat making this work.
