Sometimes I use an extension and I have a hard time finding a curling tool close to 3/4 size. Always an inch or more or a quarter of an inch. When I find 3/4 it's always a barrel. When I saw this, I jumped at the opportunity. When I received it, it didn't look like the picture. In fact, he looked even better! It had a smooth velvety touch, probably silicone lol. But soft to the touch! There's a nice little crown over the thermal switch and it's foil mount that makes everything look too jagged. It heats up quickly and I can curl and curl extensions very quickly and in less time than before. There are two different heat settings and they are actually adjustable up or down, although the opposite temperature is already set and fairly quick to set up. The actual area of concern is very large. It's probably about the size of my entire palm from my wrist to the tip of my middle finger. He's a big size and he leaves the waves right. I'm very glad I found it and grateful I had the opportunity to review it. This is a quality curling iron of the highest caliber.
