I use a Canon 70d for portraits. In terms of FF, it turns out 72mm, a little wider than 85mm, but itβs convenient for me. Bokeh is pleasant, not too distracting. It is usually recommended to set the shutter speed to at least 2 times the focal length, but due to the stabilizer, this rule can be circumvented if a static scene is being shot. For example, instead of 1/160, you can put 1/80 and longer, and the ISO is lower, thereby reducing noise. I thought at first to take the Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art, but Sigma scared me off with weight and complaints about AF misses. Now if you change it, then to something new, some kind of Canon 50mm 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.4 IS, if it comes out of course =)
