I am amazed at how well made the product is, just magical!

I've been using a Canon 50/1.4 and 40/2.8 for several years now, but I've always wanted a fast standard lens with IS. Tamron 45/1.8 is the first lens of its class for full-frame cameras. I want to start with a fly in the ointment. After the aforementioned lenses, not the highest speed and tenacity of autofocus immediately catches your eye, especially in twilight. For those wishing to shoot fast moving objects (like small children or kittens), I advise you to shoot with this lens before buying,

Pros
  • The only lens in its class, excellent optical quality, stabilizer, moisture protection, build quality, internal focusing, good macro 0.29x.
Cons
  • The speed and tenacity of autofocus, dimensions.

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

I use a Canon 70d for portraits. In terms of FF, it turns out 72mm, a little wider than 85mm, but it’s convenient for me. Bokeh is pleasant, not too distracting. It is usually recommended to set the shutter speed to at least 2 times the focal length, but due to the stabilizer, this rule can be circumvented if a static scene is being shot. For example, instead of 1/160, you can put 1/80 and longer, and the ISO is lower, thereby reducing noise. I thought at first to take the Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art…

Pros
  • - Sharpness, good with open (1.8), excellent with 2.8 - Stabilizer, allows you to win in exposure up to 3 steps - Autofocus tenacity - Pleasant bokeh - Moisture protection - Build quality and appearance
Cons
  • AF speed is not super fast, but for all the pluses forgivable Lenses from competitors are also not faster

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

It is famous for its full-frame matrix. I chose between him and the 35th, but I took this one, still stronger, although 35 mm is also not bad. In general, even the most demanding photographers will like it. Although in terms of aperture ratio it may be slightly inferior to many of its counterparts, it is compensated by the presence of a stabilizer. So I am completely for this lens.

Pros
  • stabilizer
Cons
  • I don’t understand why not F / 1.4
