Review on Metcal MFR 1160 Single Soldering Cartridge by Patrick Burton

When my son went to college he took my Metcal SP200 with him. I have used Metcal for several years and find their systems excellent. Over time, I had accumulated a stash of special tips that I wanted to use. SP200 is no longer available so I replaced it with MFC-1160. Nicely built block and works with my existing springs. Luck and happiness. I have a few other soldering systems from Hakko, Weller, etc., but Metcal is always the most common. highlighted.
