First of all I would like to say that I have seen the Bosch Starlock OMT very critically in test reports from both 12 and 18 volt models. primarily because they lock the user into expensive blades that are not readily available, and do not offer cheap blades from other manufacturers that are consumable for tasks that destroy any expensive or not-so-expensive blade, such as: B. cutting wood with underlying masonry or cutting to install laminate or to cut a caulked window frame. Here's a great example of why starlock is such a pain. The sanding adapter takes sanding pads quite well but of course with prolonged use it will start to melt as it uses a system only made by Bosch and Fein, there are no alternative brands to use instead. I have an adapter I bought online in Russia but it only allows me to use 12v blades as it doesn't work with a 18v quick change system. Please Bosch let cheaper alternative blades become available I was a big Bosch user for many years and was very frustrated with the Starlock system. to my other platforms to use these OMTs instead of wasting money on Starlock.
