Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Powerful MSI Arsenal Gaming B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II Motherboard: AMD Ryzen 2ND and 3rd Gen Compatible by Terrance Haralson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not currently compatible with Ryzen 3000

Despite updating the BIOS to add Ryzen 3000 compatibility, I'm lucky that I can access the BIOS screen even with Ryzen 5 3600. Support says they are working on updates but other MSI boards have a beta BIOS but not the B450 Tomahawk. But don't worry, MSI has repeatedly written about how excited they are for the release of the X570 motherboards. They can't even name the date by which the update will be made. Oh, and don't forget that to update the BIOS on a motherboard without a compatible CPU, you'll need to remove all components, including the RAM, CPU, GPU, etc. That means if you're water-cooled (like me), you'll have to. ), you need to disassemble your entire cycle of removing components to flash the BIOS. My GPU is water-cooled and the Ryzen 5 3600 doesn't have integrated graphics, meaning I can't have a display without a GPU installed. Really just a huge mess from MSI. I ordered this board before the Ryzen 3000 was released (which was good because the prices went up) but now I only have 6 days to return this board. If MSI releases a working BIOS update in the next few days I'll update this test, but other than that I'll bring this back and look at ASUS or Gigabyte. .
