For years I suffered in my hot cell every summer. The previous Hunter fan had three speeds. Slowly, slowly and slowly. Add to that the lack of air movement from the ceiling due to stalled fans, but then it sounded like a jet engine taking off in my room. Stumbled across this fan and no longer need two standing fans and I'm COLD at night. The sun shines in my room all day and when the daytime temperature reaches 95°+, the room becomes stuffy. No longer! All we need is a ceiling fan on top and we're good to go. Easily lowered the temperature in my room by 15° or more. Very easy to install. The lighting set is wonderful; Because glass is transparent, it repels a lot of light. When I first installed/powered it on there was a slight tick and I wanted to call Hunter but it cleared up after an hour. Don't wait...buy this fan today! If I needed more ceiling fans I would buy this model for every room!
