Bought 6 months ago before our son was born. Now that our son has started to crawl, I decided to install it. What a nightmare. The top and bottom of the latch were not straight. Tried to tweak and reconfigure to get it working. Maybe a few pucks would do? But instead the head of the screw broke off and now I have to remove the screw. Considering that I use them on stairs, the screw head on the wall mount breaks. This is incredibly dangerous. I don't know how it got JPMI certified. Many reviews show all sorts of problems. Some people have had better luck customizing or buying other parts. Nobody should do this. Luckily, Revane made an exception for a late return. Unfortunately you have to pay for the return shipping. I think the cardinal should be held accountable for this, but it's better than nothing. Do not buy this gate!
