Review on 🎵 Micca M-8C 2-Way In-Ceiling/In-Wall Speaker: 8" Woofer, 1" Pivoting Silk Dome Tweeter, 9.4" Cutout Diameter, White by Kayla Miller

Just installed four of these as surround front/back speakers. Installing in a wall is easy, and once you get over the initial onslaught of "oh my gosh, there's a hole in the drywall I need to cut perfectly" you'll find that they're pretty forgiving when it comes to installation are. My speakers are mounted in a wall with the back accessible through the attic. It helped that I could see the spacing between the posts, which wasn't always 16 inches on center. I also removed the existing speaker jacks and mounting blocks that were installed when the house was built. I used a combination of drywall tabs that come with the speakers and a tip from a reviewer that uses a 1x2 screw threaded into a 2x4 stud and then the drywall tabs through replaced a #8 x 3 fine thread drywall screw. (That sounds confusing, but look for reviews and you'll see its tech complete with photos.) Each of the speakers had 12 AWG copper wire, so it was a real plus for getting the best quality with the lowest loss. OK! I will be adding an enclosure over the back of each speaker as I can easily access them through the attic. I think this will help with bass response, although now they are quite good with response down to 40Hz. I'm very happy with the sound quality and ability to handle a lot of power. hurt your ears You are now connected to an Energy Take 5.2 center channel speaker and a Sony STRDA2-ES receiver. I will install a micca center speaker when I get a new TV and furniture. For around $200 or so for four speakers I couldn't be happier! Update March 19, 2018: I've added my Energy Take 8.2 subwoofer to the system and routed the wiring back to the receiver. I then spent a well-spent few hours figuring out how to properly place my surround speakers and setting them up with my receiver's settings. Wow what a difference. My wife didn't care about the sound when I first installed them, but after adjusting the spacing, speaker size, crossover frequency, etc., the speakers sound fantastic. The subwoofer really boosts the bass without sounding boomy and the cleanliness of the system is amazing. My idea of upgrading my receiver just got busted! I will spend money to buy a TV.
