Power hungry, but the sound is surprisingly good.

I didn't want to use this (M-8S) at first. It was a brand I had never heard of, they were cheap and if they were junk I would have had to fix my wall. As soon as they hit my wall, I thought my fears were confirmed - they sounded terrible on the old receiver; the bass was muddy and lacked richness. I decided to try again with a more powerful receiver. That was what mattered. Suddenly the speakers came alive and I was amazed by the performance. While the 8-inch woofers didn't produce the…

Speakers with amazing sound!

The reviews written on this product are genuine and I am happy to say that this product is great! I had several Infinity ceiling speakers installed a few years ago that were beginning to die due to the extreme heat from the attic. I originally considered replacing the "Rubber Speaker Foam Edge" surround rings and repairing these speakers myself, but then I realized that while the foam can help hold the cone in place, the overall sound quality can be compromised will never be the same again. I'm

Great speakers at a great price. Perfect for Dolby Atmos!

I bought them for use in a Dolby Atmos system. I wasn't sure how much better the atmosphere would be than 5.1 or 7.1, but once I had everything set up I was blown away. I went with the cheaper speakers because I wasn't sure I would like the Atmos setup and get much use out of it. Not only did I love the atmosphere, I thought these speakers sounded great. They've been installed for less than a month so can't comment on durability, but they sound great! I didn't install them in the case, just…

Just installed four of these as surround front/back speakers. Installing in a wall is easy, and once you get over the initial onslaught of "oh my gosh, there's a hole in the drywall I need to cut perfectly" you'll find that they're pretty forgiving when it comes to installation are. My speakers are mounted in a wall with the back accessible through the attic. It helped that I could see the spacing between the posts, which wasn't always 16 inches on center. I also removed the existing speaker…

The sound is very good, the installation is terrible

Install once and listen for years, so the weight of this rating is reasonable. Installation is conceptually simple. Cut a hole in the drywall, insert the speaker into the hole and tighten the 6 screws. Turn the screws holding the mounting tabs behind the drywall, and then tighten them until you can. Instead, you turn the screw and the tabs turn, and then the screws get stuck and you can't turn them. I consider it my win if I manage to get at least two of the six battens to hook onto the…

Great center speaker!

Let me start by saying that I own a production company and I have (and use) a lot of high quality audio equipment. When it comes to high-performance production sound systems, speaker quality is of paramount importance, especially if you plan to run your speakers at or near their rated output. Home theater systems (which I will talk about here) are a different story! Here are some tips and how these speakers work: (1) The power handling of home theater speakers isn't really that important. High End Speaker Comparison

I bought these for my bedroom to replace a "sounddock" that never seems to have been used. This and a small Bluetooth amphonic amplifier are much cheaper and offer better sound quality. I've been listening to it every day since I bought it. Amazing bass, great highs, slightly raspy but should soften with use. The speakers fall off a bit at medium frequencies. What the heck anyway? $100 for a pair! Installation: 48" tall knee wall with rear bypass access and frame manifold 1" above installation,

How to install a two-way micca speaker in the ceiling + My review

See the photos provided. Here are some tips to make the installation easier. INSTALLATION TIPS1) Use a small hook to remove the speaker grilles, not a nail2) Use masking tape to secure the cut out template to the ceiling; Don't use the useless little sticky strips provided 3) Cut 2" x 2" squares out of foam board to hold the insulation in place over the speakers and to prevent the insulation from getting into the speaker cone that is going to be vibrates and drives you crazy 4 ) Remove the…
