How to install a two-way micca speaker in the ceiling + My review

See the photos provided. Here are some tips to make the installation easier. INSTALLATION TIPS1) Use a small hook to remove the speaker grilles, not a nail2) Use masking tape to secure the cut out template to the ceiling; Don't use the useless little sticky strips provided 3) Cut 2" x 2" squares out of foam board to hold the insulation in place over the speakers and to prevent the insulation from getting into the speaker cone that is going to be vibrates and drives you crazy 4 ) Remove the screws before attaching the speaker. This will prevent the heads of the Phillips screws from loosening when tightening the speaker terminals. 5) Wipe dusty fingerprints off the speaker cone and ring with a *slightly* damp cloth. SPEAKER PRO* are inexpensive, but not "cheap". There's a difference.* they sound decent, maybe a little mid-heavy, but the mids are balanced and clear* the power factor can't be beat at the price* easy installation - I installed 6 loudspeakers in 4 hours including assembly, disassembly and cleaning. SPEAKERS Cons* Sounds decent, maybe a little heavy in the mids and highs, but the mids are balanced* they're insatiable. Be sure to use an amplifier of around 75-100 watts. Underpowering these speakers will result in them sounding weak and not punching out the bass, mids and treble. Wall speakers) perfectly matched to cubic volume to maximize sound, you get decent but not "wow" sound. Most installations will isolate behind the speaker magnets to absorb bass reflex sound, this was my installation. Although the speakers don't have good seals or connectors, they sound surprisingly good. If I were to use them for theater surround sound I would build boxes with connectors behind each in the wall or ceiling to act as speaker boxes. Although surround speakers don't play very well during movies and live performances, I don't think a built-in speaker box is required when setting them up as surround speakers. If they were installed as the main sound drivers, yes I would install speaker units behind them. App on my phone* I have a Sonos Arc, a Sonos Sub, and two Sonos Ones in our family room.* I have a Mirage 9.1 home theater system in our media room. (Two 5" towers, a center channel, six in-ceiling surround speakers and a 12" subwoofer). It is powered by a Pioneer SC-61 amplifier. I use the Sonos connector to connect my home theater system to a whole house audio solution. .*I have two Polk Audio Atrium 6 speakers in the back that connect to a Sonos amplifier inside, which also powers two of the six Micca ceiling speakers in our dining room.* I have two Polk Audio Atrium 4- Loudspeakers and two 10 inch speakers. Speakers Passive Synergistic Towers in the garage with a vintage Denon stereo amp. Who doesn't love listening to games or rock music while working in the garage?* I use a Sonos amp to power the remaining four Micca ceiling speakers in our downstairs bar.* I have 17 guitars, 6 guitar amps and each amount of audio devices . I am sharing all of this to indicate that I have been involved with sound for a very long time. Nothing beats well-mixed live sound, which is my number one guide when designing a whole-home sound solution. While not an expert I like the crisp, clear, clean sound and I think for the price and for the intended purpose (in the ceiling) the Micca speakers do the job. For example, I couldn't justify spending $500 on two Bose ceiling speakers.
