For about the price of a blank USB stick, half the work is done for you.

I've been a Linux fan for decades, but haven't delved into the latest distributions. I stumbled across a Mint flash drive and decided to give it a try for $15. Wow.Mint is a very good distro and has a lot of support online. Most people looking to learn more about Linux or migrate from an older version of Windows would be good to try Mint, and I don't know of an easier way. highly recommended.
