Allows water to enter the vehicle. You'll probably be fine if you get to it while the ice or snow is still ice and snow, but if you don't because the roads were bad and you didn't drive during the day, you should do your seats already covered with plastic. Leaks seem to be a problem in most of these cases. You can't have anything between a metal and a rubber gasket and not expect it to leak, but they mentioned that it doesn't leak. That's why I chose them after reading other reviews. My seat is now stained. I'm pretty sure I could handle the snow like I did 30 years before I ordered this piece of material with the mirrored mittens attached. Boo-uu. Not recommended.
