I bought them mainly because I had wiring problems in the van and I used T-pins on the Aldl connector and my manager was not enthusiastic about my crude technique. So basically I bought them to make him happy, but now I use them all the time. The main use I find is troubleshooting intermittent/corroded connections. I attach the current probe to the power cable of the parts so that the sound of the probe sounds. I then tug at the plugs, fuses, wires and relays until the ringing goes away and eventually I find the fault fairly quickly. I can also remotely turn on the engines under the cab from the driver's seat to test the air conditioning and diagnose the solenoid shutoff. It also works well as a remote starter in a pinch.
