Very good shaft. I am very satisfied with the Moen handrails they make. As a contractor and one who has delivered many handicaps to clients over the years, they have been one of the best. Three things to keep in mind for those trying to find a rod for their needs: 1. Moen makes rods in two diameters - 1 1/4" and 1 1/2". Both are ADA approved, it all depends on your needs. It is 1 1/4" in diameter and fits my customer perfectly. Some people find it difficult to fit 1 1/2" with their hands. 2. Rods are either smooth or machined. I always recommend to all my customers a hardened gripping surface, especially when these bars are in a humid environment, like in the shower.That extra sense of security goes a long way.3.In terms of installation, I like the hidden flange style.This cover puts the finishing touch so you don't see the screws. The biggest reaction from my customers is that they regret not putting them on many years ago. It's not just an old man/fickle/ugly thing. I have for many people for everyone Age groups including youth installed Better to be safe!
