This was a big disappointment. The materials look very cheap compared to the original parts. Blue foam. The canister filter is much more porous than the original material, so it doesn't surprise me that people are talking about improved airflow. Unfortunately, this also means that the air is not filtered. The internal filter doesn't come with an important gasket that also improves airflow as most of it bypasses the filter entirely (this applies to HEPA). Perhaps most disappointingly, the canister filter does not contain activated carbon. This is important to remove odors, especially odors produced by a naturally aspirated engine. Sometimes you can actually save money on quality parts by skipping brand names, but that's not the case. I'm tempted to return it, but I'll probably install the pads from the internal filter after cleaning it and use it for a year. Next time I will buy original Dyson parts though.
