The product is very low quality, not what you need at all.

The router has one plus, it works, but the additional functions for which it was bought do not work. And before buying, I asked for advice from ASUS support, where they advised me this particular model as the best. 1. The router does not support large disks, it works with a 1TB disk, but if you connect, for example, 4TB, the router does not want to work with it, if you try to format it in the router's web interface, it cuts off a small piece from the disk and works with it, but the rest of the disk does not see and generally deletes all its partitions so that later you have to restore the disk through special utilities and dancing with a tambourine. If you prepare the disk in advance and connect it already ready for work, then the Router starts writing a bunch of disk operation errors. ASUS support stated that the router supports disks of this size and that the problem is in the new disk, ok contacted the manufacturer of the WD disk, they did not find any problems in the disk during diagnostics, but they still replaced it with a new one, but the problem was not solved with the new disk. The drive itself works well when connected to a PC, for example, quickly and without any problems. 2. After buying the router, there were no problems initially, because I connected a small 1TB disk and there were very few files on the disk, but after a while after even more files accumulated on the 1TB disk, the Media Server, also known as DLNA, stopped working, because it fails when trying to initialize files when this DLNA is turned on and just hangs. 3. At a frequency of 2.4 GHz, the speed is very low, 10-15 Mbps, at 5 GHz it seems to be normal, it shows 95 Mbps, resting on my tariff at 100 Mbps. In total, it can only work as a regular router, which is no different from routers that are 3-4 times cheaper. Functions for which they ask for such money do not work normally and are useless. I do not recommend buying this router if you plan to set up DLNA (Media Server). It is a pity that the problem did not show up right away, I would have handed it back to the store.

Pros
  • Works
Cons
  • The declared functions for which the money was paid do not work.
