The fact that we have an internal designer who has worked for Apple as well other companies was very helpful to us when trying to find solutions quickly during our development phases. It is not something I dislike specifically since there's been no negative feedback about this feature so far but if you're looking at it from the perspective of "is my client happy with their website being designed by another company", then they might be disappointed - maybe even slightly offended (not all clients will understand). They were also willing to change some of their templates so that the overall look and feel matched what our brand identity required. The whole process was easy to understand (both for us as clients). It's very clear what we need to do next so there is no confusion at all! I think it would be useful if you could have some kind of feedback from your client when they complete their tasks or stories - this can help speed up delivery times which will save money too. Also maybe ask them how much time they spend doing each task/story? This way you know exactly where things stand with regards to budget / timeline etc.
