I served on active duty in the Marine Corps from 1995 to 2003 so I know what this belt compares to. I can say that this belt is no worse than our army web belts. Simply cut (can get very long), melt the frayed edge with a lighter, snap on buckle and fasten. I haven't had a single issue with the quality of the buckle's grip; The teeth hold the end perfectly without the brass tip and I haven't had to adjust anything since I've had it. I did some research before making this purchase and would recommend it to everyone else I've read about at Revain.
