Review on DeltCycle Bike Storage Hoist: Auto-Locking Ceiling Rack & Hooks for Garage, 50 lb Capacity, Kayak Option, Hangers for Garage Ceiling up to 12 Ft by Ryan Talcott

I chose this hoist for two reasons. First, the mounting bolts align with the pulleys, making it easier to install the bolts into the carriers. Most other hoists have bolts on the sides of the pulleys, which I think makes it more likely that the bolts will end up on either side of the beams. Second, the hooks are more curved to ensure a better grip on the bike. As for the screws: I pre-drilled the holes according to the instructions and coated the threads with silicone grease, but the screwdriver started to slip. I put a product called EZ GRIP on the screwdriver and had no more problems. EZ GRIP greatly increases the frictional grip of screwdrivers and wrenches and should be in every shop. My bike seat has very few hooks on the bottom so I chose to attach it to the trunk instead. Without a rack, the rear suspension would work just as well in my opinion. I found the rope to be better quality than expected and much longer than needed for my 9ft ceiling.
