I'm a size 12 and bought the XL. I really liked the fit on this (I added a full petticoat underneath) but I'm returning it- I'm a 38C and I was popping out of the dress (XL). Several of the reviews had said how nice it made them look- well, if you like folks looking at your cleavage all the time, this dress would have been great but I was very uncomfortable with how it emphasized my chest. Truly, with a demi-cup bra that was open at the center except for where the underwires met, you could actually see the top edge of the little bow at the center of my bra. And, I actually had extra fabric available to "fill" even more. So, I suppose if you really are large-chested and nothing ever buttons up because of your size (a problem that I regularly have with size 10 and even size 12 blouses, even though a 38C really isn't all that large), congratulations! you have found a dress that fits in the chest. Just be prepared to either wear a camisole under it or have everyone checking out your chest all evening.Bow fit perfectly. It's out of the same stretchy fabric and stayed in place as I went through some crazy moves to see how it held up.Funky fit along the shoulder blades in back- I would have needed to alter the dress (shortening the distance between the shoulder and waistline in back on the right side if I had decided to keep it.There was enough "right" with the dress that I might actually go back and try it in a size smaller (L) and see if the problems at the chest (fixable with a cami or perhaps pinning it together) and the right shoulder blade are fixable. Perhaps the real problem with the dress was that it was actually too big.
