Bought for my 9 year old daughter who is starting to horse ride. She hates putting her hair up, but she needs to keep it off her face. That was my decision. It works perfectly for her. She likes to wear them. In fact, she often wears them every day just to hold her hair back. I tried them on myself (I have a medium sized adult female head) and the headbands are SMALL. Pros: Good quality fabric and construction, works as expected, nice colors. Cons: very small. head or buy for a kid, they're great; Otherwise, they will slip back and fall off easily.
