Beautiful Silver Flakes
I'm making a polymer resin stick with these silvery metal flakes. It works great. The only thing to note is that this is NOT real silver. They are mostly made of aluminum. In fact, I got almost the same result using aluminum foil instead of those flakes, but not quite. Titanium rather than silver. (Hmm. Maybe it's time for a new product!) The key to casting with resin is to mix VERY thoroughly and apply pressure. If you can't use pour pressure (35-45 psi seems ideal), only add a few flakes at a time. mix them up then a few more flakes and so on. I'm glad the new packaging explains what the muesli is. really is.
