This bag is big enough for what I need for the gym, yet small enough to carry around. I can go about my normal day in my normal clothes, and when I'm ready to work out, I just take out my bag. It has separate compartments for my sneakers, dirty clothes, and a main compartment that holds a powerlifting belt, gym clothes, and a shaker bottle. There are also 3 carrying options: by the handle, over the shoulder or as a backpack. The shoulder straps of the backpack can be easily plugged in and stowed away completely if you don't want to.
