I bought this specifically to walk on the carpeted areas on our stairs - to dissipate the slight smell of urine. I always clean them when that happens but the smell lingers after the scented stain remover is gone. I thought this might help. It worked fine. Nothing you really need. (Well I don't really need anything) but for $10 it's not the worst product mount you can buy. Also, people complained that it didn't last. He's practically sitting on the nozzle. There is no "click-in-place" mechanism. IT just sits there. You have to keep that in mind when using it, but I had no problem with it. It simply glides across the carpet and produces hot steam just like you would use it on your floors.
