Purchased to stimulate a child's interest in radio. The features are appealing enough to him, as is the understanding that electronics require power to function, which then introduces the concept of 'running' for power. He enjoys finding local radio stations to listen to music or whatever interests him. The noise is loud enough to be heard in our small backyard while he's playing on his jungle gym. The only downside is that there is no function to rotate the dial to find a station. The buttons are great as they serve their purpose but the dial would be something he might like. Just charge a cell/phone to see how long it takes to charge. Given the age of our phones, it took 30 minutes to charge 3%, which I think is due to it being used as a radio and starting up every few minutes. There will be another update soon.
