Review on Logitech Backlit Mechanical Keyboard Passthrough by Chris Spoja

The E key is double registered. The Logitech gaming software sucks.

I bought this keyboard because I liked the minimalist design and I had good luck with Logitech products. I'm not interested in the RGB tricks that are popular these days. The biggest complaint I had was related to the Logitech gaming software and not the keyboard. By default the keyboard is set to "breathe", which I didn't want. I wanted to be able to see the key backlight at all times. I would disable the "breathe" effect in the software and then find that the keyboard "breathes" again after a reboot. And here's the bad. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the Logitech Gaming Software in hopes of fixing this minor issue. I ended up encountering a blue screen error that popped up about 30 seconds after every reboot. Couldn't figure out how to fix it and had to reinstall windows. Of course, I will no longer install the Logitech Gaming Software. With no software installed, the backlight is permanent. I've had the keyboard for about a month now and the e key registers twice when pressed once. So when I type it looks like this. Needless to say, I'm getting rid of it. Every cheap membrane keyboard I've had in the last 20 years has lasted longer. One final minor complaint: there's no palm rest and the bottom edge of the keyboard is a bit sharp. . The Romer switches seem to be an issue.

Pros
  • Romer-G is also specially designed for precise and clean illumination through the keyboard. The keys are always visible and never distracting, especially when gaming at night
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
