I didn't find on the product information page, manufacturer's website or product description that this only works with Windows based computers. I did a search after the Arduino example uploaded successfully but nothing happened and I found that another person contacted the manufacturer and was told they didn't have a working app to capture and view photos on the Mac platform, but only Windows-based systems.

Great Little Camera. Even after seeing his photo and considering the size, I was still amazed at his small size. It is configured for easy wiring directly onto the shield itself. All it takes is something to receive data and you have a complete system. Its tiny size makes it easy to apply to any project. "IR sensitivity with correct lens combination" implies that this camera either has a tunable IR lens or you can easily buy a replacement without an IR filter. Neither is true - the camera comes with a fixed IR filter, the documentation doesn't mention IR lens products anywhere, and Revain and Digikey don't show any interchangeable lenses for this camera. It does not have standard IR illumination and cannot be upgraded to do so without special "knowledge" sources or a custom lens. Very upset…

If you are a beginner or need a quick camera solution with minimal pins, this product is not for you. If you like Micropython, this product isn't for you (if you don't like translating header C files into Python). Works great! I was able to easily find sample code online and get the camera up and running in minutes (I'm using an ESP8266). The image quality is also quite good for such a small camera. The focus is adjustable, the picture is clear, the colors are accurate. It was a bit difficult to install in my project case due to the board's form factor, but I managed to get it working. If you are looking for a camera for your IoT projects, this is the one for you.
