I needed a pump to run my car's air conditioning (Weekend Warrior Mechanic) and decided to try an inexpensive mid-range pump. I was surprised that in the box there were two bottles of oil upside down in the box. . Why they intentionally packaged two bottles of oil upside down is beyond me. The bottles didn't leak but I imagine they could make a mess if they did. I bought my own high quality oil at a relatively low price and will keep the supplied oil just in case. In my opinion, the pump runs very quietly. If it's sitting in your garage you shouldn't have a problem, and the odd buzz just lets you know it's working. I ran it on the vehicle for about 30 minutes and my gauges were set to 0 pretty well. I let it run another 15 minutes just to be sure. The pump got hot, but nothing unexpected. There were a few puffs of steam from the vent at first, but they dissipated after the first 15 minutes or so. I drained the oil and am a bit concerned that the drain plug is easy to remove. With the exception of the drain plug, the pump feels well made, the plumbing connections are good and solid, it has a reasonable length of power cord, the drain and fill plugs are easy to reach, a comfortable carry handle and is quiet under heavy pressure for fast vacuums. It was everything I had hoped for.
