Review on 🎨 Quartet Alphacolor Soft Pastels, Charcoal, Pack of 3 Pastels (105C) for Enhanced SEO by Dawn Fischer

Nothing but very expensive chalk

I draw with chalk on the sidewalk. I use many different types and brands of chalk, some are sidewalk chalk, some pastels, and some blackboard chalk. Sidewalk chalk is used primarily as a primer and I rely heavily on pastels for my detail and shading via sidewalk chalk and have a lot of experience with soft pastels. I am constantly on the lookout for white chalk as there is never enough for my chalk drawing. I bought this in the hope that it would be more compact than soft pastels and of better quality and longer lasting than the chalk I used for white. Results: It's not as compact as the soft pastels I'm used to. It's much more like plain old chalk on a blackboard. In fact, it makes the same hollow sound when it hits the pavement as chalk does on a blackboard, and other than it's a long cube rather than a cylindrical shape, there's really no difference. I can buy 12 packs of chalk for the same price as these 3 packs. I won't buy this again.

It’s too hard, not soft at all, difficult to apply and leave lots of white powder on your artwork.
