Review on πŸ‘’ White/Black Joe Rocket Men's Ballistic Tour Boot Size 10 by Mike Mitchell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Run big and don't breathe

I haven't worn these boots long so I can't comment on their durability or water resistance. However, I can confirm two other "issues" with these boots. That is, considering these issues. First, these boots are oversized. Very large. I usually wear US size 7.5-8 athletic shoes. After reading the comments about these boots being too big I ordered a US size 7 (€40) thinking they would be a little tight at worst. nope I could easily wear a size 6 (39 euros) in it. They're so big on me they're almost clumsy. Not much feeling on the shifter or on the brakes. Second, they don't breathe. While they are water-resistant, your feet will begin to sweat within minutes of putting them on. No kidding, your feet will be sweaty before you get on your bike. Still, I'm giving it 4 stars for now. If I could get a size 6 (39) I think they would be good boots. You have enough flexibility at the ankle to move or walk and feel comfortable enough to walk around if you are somewhere. Breathability issues can be addressed with sweat-wicking socks. For me these boots will make good road bike boots if I spend most of my time riding with easy shifts and minimal stops. Good boots for getting into town, walking around and seeing some of the sights and then getting back on the road. If they fit a bit tighter I would say these are good everyday boots. They could be a bit better in terms of workmanship and appearance, but they are perfect for their intended purpose. And for the price, I doubt you'll find anything better. If someone sees a flaw in your boots, then you're not going fast enough. After riding them for a little longer or in the rain I will update this review.
