Review on Sustainable PlanToys Wooden Lacing Beads (5353) - Eco-friendly Rubberwood, Non-toxic Paints and Dyes by Jamie Vanderburg

These appear to be very good lacing beads although a little pricey for what you get. They are made from regular Plan Toys wood and are stained/stained so should last a very long time. The variety of beads is pretty good, there are quite a lot of them and you get (at least) two strands. don't just fall. Of course you can always tie a bead to the end, but it would be nice if something else was included in the kit specifically for this purpose. Also, the strings are REALLY long, so you should probably cut them off and burn the ends (so they don't break). Finally, it may be useful to use some sort of plastic "needle" to make it easier for younger children to attach the beads; Because the thread is so flimsy my 2 year old has a hard time threading through the holes at times. All in all a good set of lace beads, if not a bit pricey for what you get.
