Review on Canon PGI 270 CLI 271 Compatible MG7720 by David Ross

I hate paying for printer ink, always have. I think this is the biggest scam we have to suffer as consumers. I use these cartridges at home on my Canon MG5700 printer and I'm on my third pack so I think they're holding up pretty well. I like using the right cartridges, that's just me. When I ordered them in January 2016 they were $47.50 plus tax, now they are $55 plus tax so not that much. IMPORTANT In a pack of 4 cartridges, you will find that the printer will take 5. Even after replacing 4 with a new pack, you may still get a cartridge empty alert from a BK cartridge when it's low or empty. This doesn't stop you from printing in black and white or color, but it can be annoying. It's a little confusing but ALL 4 thinner cartridges are #271 and PGBK is #270, you don't have to worry as they are included in the box, be aware if you order the cartridges separately. What is the difference between PGBK and BK? Developed for applications such as text, PGBK ink is smudge-resistant and good for fine lines. BK ink is for photography, it is richer. By default, the printer uses PGBK for text, lines, etc. unless it thinks they are part of a photo. So you can force a Canon printer to use BK ink instead of PGBK by telling it you're printing a photo on plain paper. As said, this package does NOT include the 271BK cartridge. You can buy them separately for around $20. Canon CLI-271XL Black Tank for MG7720, MG6820, MG6821, MG6822, MG5720, MG5722, MG5721. However, some packages are available with all 5 cartridges and may be cheaper. They may not be available with Prime shipping, but they often come with free shipping if you don't mind waiting a few days.
