I like the idea of using an hourglass to tell when a certain amount of time has passed. This hourglass is so cute and colorful, it decorates my table so beautifully. I work in customer service and they do a good job of tracking how long my phone calls with my customer are. I know in advance that some conversations won't be very difficult, so I can use a shorter one. But some of them are longer and I know it will take me a longer time. I also use them at home. I especially like to use some of them when praying. For me visually better than an alarm clock. My hourglass seems sturdy but I'm not sure if it can be used with very young children.
