Review on ๐Ÿ”ง BSIDE ACM91 Mini AC DC Digital Clamp Meter: True RMS Voltage Testing and Current Measurement Tool by Justin Trujillo

Unstable DC Current

There are many features that many users might find valuable. The temperature was within a few degrees of room temperature. Resistance, capacitance, frequency, AC and DC voltage were all decent. However, I had concerns about DC. Our machine was drawing excessive power when idle. When inserting an ammeter, I got 0.76 A. According to the workshop manual, no production car is allowed to draw more than 50 mA. Was hoping to use this meter for troubleshooting as plugging electricity meters into circuits is a hassle. The spec says 3% +5 counts. The resolution is 1mA, but the drift is better than 0.1A in less than 5 minutes. Even the zero button wasn't stable enough to give a true zero repeatedly. The zero drift was over 80 mA per minute, which made meaningful readings impossible. It's a handy enough tester, but mine wasn't able to accurately measure DC current clamps. Many of the reviews associated with this meter do not relate to the acm91. I think the given average is misleading. Hence my disappointing assessment.
