Review on 🍞 HENCKELS Forged Premio 8-inch Bread and Cake Knife, Black, Stainless Steel by Amber Powell

Superb utility knife

This knife is a one stop solution for all the hobbyist's culinary needs. I bought a very similar knife from Bed Bath and Beyond about 10 years ago for about $25. This was my favorite knife for all prep. In contrast to other serrated "bread knives" this one is suitable for all types of cuts as the serrations are not as sharp. It works with all vegetables and is often safer than a chef's knife because it cuts into food quickly. Works on soft tomatoes and never slips. After a few years I started sharpening the knife (with a serrated sharpener) every few times and it stayed very sharp and effective. Another benefit is that it won't cut unless you use a cutting motion, which can be a finger guard. For no particular reason I decided to replace the knife (it's still sharp) and they didn't sell the same one, but this one is the most similar. The first experiences are just as good. One thing you can't do with a food slicer is quickly slice up and down like a pro with a chef's knife, but most hobbyists wouldn't risk it anyway. For such a good price and durability this knife is a best buy.
