The tip was simply crimped and stayed in place. In addition, the solder pin structure is very difficult to process, the sheet metal is even thinner and cheaper than other connectors. Whilst I managed to get a piece out of my pedal and luckily everything is fine, buy at your own risk. Jack might save you a few bucks, but it will cost you some hardware.
