I am a chubby, short man and have searched a long while for dress pants that do not emphasize the fact that I am chubby and short. It is frustrating that the cut of most dress pants I've tried in 34X29 look like 36x27 once they're on me. They're boxy, have large leg openings, and I think I might be able to fit both of my chubby legs into one side of the pants. The cut of most dress pants makes me look heavier and shorter.I had almost given up and decided to wear khakis for all occasions until I found these Savane Flat Front Premium Flex Gabardine pants at another retailer. I purchased the Caviar color (black) but that retailer was sold out of all other colors in 34X29. However, ebay carries them! I purchased the Eclipse color from ebay. Eclipse is just south of Navy; while not a true navy it is still a great conservative color and fits well with modern blue hues currently in fashion. These pants fit me great and are just what I searched for. I much like the narrower cut of the seat and legs, and the narrow leg openings. These seem to be constructed of good, quality gabardine fabric that I hope lasts for years. It has been a long time since I owned a pair of Savane pants but I have never had an issue with the level of quality that goes into them.These pants work perfectly for my needs and tastes. I recommend these dress pants for those wanting a more modern, straight cut, while still maintaining a conservative dressy look.
