You must be kidding. Historically, Rubbermaid has always stood for quality. It doesn't cost 99 cents. The jug itself is very thin and thin, like a milk jug. The hat is really great. I've had these in the past and you could keep the jug on its side and it wouldn't leak. This lid doesn't even close. As if this lid was made for a different pitcher. I expect this cap to come loose in less than a couple of days of use, even with careful handling. I can't believe this is a genuine Rubbermaid product. If yes, then this is the end for this company. If it is counterfeit, Rubbermaid will NOT use due diligence to uncover the counterfeits and smear their name. Definitely I will never buy a Rubbermaid product again.
